Friday Question: Mung Beans

The goal was to make these last night and tell you what I thought. But I was out longer than planned and when I got home, I plumb forgot. Instead, we each had a BIG bowl of steamed potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli. Then I made a wholemeal spelt flatbread thingy. It was yummy.

But I digress ....

Let's get to Friday's Question.

  2. This just made me super hungry for some steamed vegetables. I wish I had some. I'll have to settle for some oatmeal. I don't even know what a mung bean is...let me ask Lord Google...BRB....nope, can't say that I have but I've eaten bean sprouts and they're delicious!

  5. Never heard of mung beans, although that doesn't mean I've never eaten them. Someone could have snuck some in my salad a long time ago (because it's been awhile since I've had a salad at a restaurant).

  9. Yup. Love the whole family.
Mind you a cat we had a long time ago used to say (very clearly) mung, mung, mung when she was displeased with us.
It is now a family phrase.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. I finally made them and did enjoy them. But I'm still learning how to cook them. I felt they were too hard based on the package 1 part mung 3 part liquid. So I added more. Ate them again today. Filling without any allergic reaction or belly bloat.

Hope your Sunday is kick-ass good.
